The Husqvarna Group is the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is the European leader in consumer irrigation equipment under the Gardena brand. The Group is also one of the world leaders in cutting equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. Net sales in 2009 were SEK 34 billion and the average number of employees was 15,000. Unit/Department Description The Husqvarna Group is in the process of opening up a factory in the Mielec area. Production start is planned to October-November 2010. The factory will produce, wheeled products, Ride on lawn mowers and walk behind law mowers. The products will be transferred from two factories in Sweden. There will be approximately 25 permanent white-collar and 140 permanent blue-collar in the factory. The business is very seasonal and 100-200 temporary blue-collars will be brought in during the peak season. The factory will grow substantially over the coming years and will become the hub for wheeled products in Europe. Position/Job Description The production manager main duties are to ensure production on the right time, with the right quality and quantity. The factory will contain a numbers of different manufacturing processes like assembly, surface treatment and robot/manual welding. The position will be supported by other function on site like finance, quality, engineering, HR and logistics. The position will also be a part of the Mielec site management team. Husqvarna operates in an international environment so there will be interactions and cross factory team work in the product and continuous improvement area, the Husqvarna Operating System.
