Auditor

Purpose

This position will be responsible for providing an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations. The internal audit function helps International Paper accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and the governance processes.

Key Accountabilities

• Assisting the Audit Project Manager with specific ad-hoc projects;
• Coordinating the internal audit testing work with regards to the GSSC processes;
• Assisting the PM in coordinating the reliance of the external auditor on the (internal) review work done with regards to GSSC;
• Participating as individual contributor in some EMEA internal audits;
• Providing assistance in implementing CA techniques within EMEA;
• Contributing and assisting to the implementation of specific Internal Audit processes enhancement initiatives;

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• At least 1 to 2 years of business (finance/accounting) or audit experience with either an accounting firm or within an Internal Audit department of a reputable company. 
• A professional designation such as CPA, CIA or similar applicable to country is a plus and will be required to be obtained.
• Candidates should have knowledge of SAP functionalities and should be able to communicate effectively with management and employees at all levels and at all company locations.
• Fluent in Polish and English; other EMEA languages (French, Italian, Russia and Spanish) will be an advantage;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Travel Requirements - up to 50% (EMEA); occasional travel to the Memphis Headquarters, USA.
• The normal tenure in the Internal Audit department would be 2-3 years in the audit department, with the intention of moving to a business/staff finance or operations position.

Relocation to Brussels Headquarters to integrate the EMEA internal audit team may be required within a 12 to 18 months term.
